Cummins Releases 25th Anniversary Turbo Diesel Package

COLUMBUS, Ind. (March 25, 2014) - Today, Cummins commemorates the 25th Anniversary of its Turbo Diesel engine in the Ram Heavy Duty Truck lineup by releasing an upfit package for model-year 2014 heavy-duty pickups. The Cummins Turbo Diesel was first available in a Ram pickup truck for model-year 1989, and continues to be offered in today's Ram Heavy Duty pickups and Chassis Cabs. With this 25th Anniversary package, 2014 Ram Heavy Duty pickup owners will be able to transform their truck into a unique 25th-Anniversary truck with custom badges, floor mats, Katzkin® leather interior and a Cummins red breather cover under the hood.

The Cummins Turbo Diesel in a Ram truck has been a preferred choice for heavy-duty truck buyers for the last 25 years, and significant technology enhancements have continued to deliver class-leading performance and dependability. Enhancements over the years include the introduction of full-authority electronic fuel systems, the move from a 12- to 24-valve cylinder head, an increase in displacement from 5.9 to 6.7 liters and the introduction of the VGT™ Turbocharger with integrated exhaust braking. During the same time period, Cummins has more than doubled the horsepower and torque from its original rating of 160 hp and 400 lb-ft.

"Our 25-year partnership is a testament to the continued advancements of our products and the inherent dependability that our customers demand," said Dave Crompton, Vice President - Cummins Engine Business. "We developed this package to offer our loyal customers a way to celebrate this milestone anniversary."

The package contains the following items.
• 25th-Anniversary branded Katzkin leather interior
• 25th-Anniversary exterior badge emblems
• 25th-Anniversary floor mats
• 25th-Anniversary hitch cover
• Commemorative red engine cover

Cummins has partnered with the Turbo Diesel Register to bring this package to market. For more information on the 25th-anniversary upfit package and its contents, or to place an order, go to or call the Turbo Diesel Register at 1-800-755-1715.

To see the 25th-Anniversary truck and Truck D001 - the first Cummins-powered prototype Ram truck - visit the Cummins Booth 30035 at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS).

Thats it?? Seat covers, Floor Mats, Emblems, a hitch cover, a engine cover?

What no Decals?

I read a article years ago that Jack Roush said that he built the first Dodge Cummins Diesel truck. He said said it was louder than anybody though it would be. And they had to insulate everything to quiet it down.
