RIVERVIEW, Fla. may 3, 2012 -- Tarsus Group’s Trade Show News Network (TSNN) announced the release of the 2011 TSNN Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States and the 2011 Florida RV SuperShow was ranked No. 14.

Culled from show management and data supplied to TSNN, the list represents the top 250 trade shows held last year in the U.S. ranked by net square footage. The full list can be found at http://www.tsnn.com/datasite-us.

RVIA’s Annual National RV Show in Louisville was ranked 17 and PRVCA’s Hershey Show in Pennsylvania was ranked 20.

"We're happy to get the recognition," said FRVTA Executive Director Lance Wilson. "The FRVTA is committed to making the Florida RV SuperShow not only the largest but the most profitable and successful show for our exhibitors, and the 2013 SuperShow is already looking like another winner."
The 2013 Florida RV SuperShow will be held at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida. Industry Day is Jan. 15, with public days running Jan. 16 to 20. The 2nd World RV Conference will be held in Tampa at the same time.

I had the Amsoil booth there in January 2009. Huge show, big crowds. I did well there, some did not. It was nice because we camped on site near the vendor area.

The picture below will show the iRV2 Expo Crew in attendance at the FRVTA SuperShow, Tampa, Florida in January 2003.

Shown in the photo are Richard Hale (Hitchhiker) and Dave George (RVrsRUS). At this expo, Dirk, (Route66) was in the house. I am taking the picture. Our technology was comprised of a laptop computer, a hub and an Internet connection from our neighbor, KVH. We displayed the iRV2 website on a NEC 20" monitor (weighed a ton) and we signed up new members. We printed brochure handouts see on the table and we had a number of posters printed.

Back then trying to sell what we were doing was next to impossible but it seems to have grown since 2003 ....

Those were the days!

Dave manning our laptop computer. Back then technology was very slow and it wasn't fun standing in crowded aisles waiting for a screen refresh! But the important thing was that we were demonstrating that "It worked" and folks could stay in touch with their RV friends. From this point forward we worked the site everyday, welcomed folks and kept on posting.
