iRV2 rolls out new front page
11/14/2012 Conway, SC –
CONWAY, S.C. -- Social Knowledge Networks announced that after months of planning and trial runs, that a new front page has been rolled-out for its premier RV community, iRV2 Forum | - RV Forum Community and RV News.
The new front page features a column of blogs which were previously hidden in the background while the page also includes navigation links to access the content of the main forum features. The initial benefit to the community is that the blogs will now be easily seen and presented on the portal page of the website.
Currently seen on the front page are feature stories and photography from its most prolific contributor, Mike Pelchat. The blogs which were previously in the background have been brought out to the forefront. The blogs are a collection of feature stories that have been developed from RV Industry sources and also include personal RV travel experiences while on the road.
New as well is that the entire forum environment has been updated to include new font type, sizes and colors. The site has been re-engineered to load more quickly and the member feedback on this confirms faster load times.
"As can be expected, the members are somewhat resistive to change however this change is expected will be for the better," said Pelchat, who is also the marketing director for iRV2 “Although the new environment has been put through the ringer “offline,” getting it live in as good of a shape as it is was quite a remarkable job by our development team,” he added. "Member input is being recorded in the 'iRV2 forum Issues' discussion and the admin staff has been appreciative of the feedback.”
Pelchat said it is expected that the cumulative changes will be more inviting for iRV2 members and guests and that the blog entries will initially provide excellent content for the readers.
"We welcome you to visit our new front page which currently features; “Driving the Holiday Rambler 43 DFT” as shown by Alliance Coach," he added.
