Please Welcome our New Sponsor, DuraFlap

iRV2.com is pleased to announce that DuraFlap of Grants Pass, OR is joining iRV2.com as a site sponsor. We appreciate their participation in our Community.

DuraFlap
www.duraflap.com
(541) 582-6699

DuraFlap was created in 2003. With over 10 years of experience our goal is to manufacture the highest quality mud flaps possible and provide excellent customer service. We have a “no unhappy customers” policy.

Our patented drill-less mud flaps are designed for late model Dodge, Chevrolet and Ford trucks and SUV’s. They are the only full size drill-less mud flaps available. Prior to our creations mud flaps were made to be one size fits all. They never really looked like they belonged on the trucks. With our custom designed mud flaps and custom artwork laser cut out of the stainless steel weights, the mud flaps not only fully protect the truck, but they improve the looks of the truck.

We also make custom mud flaps for the back of motor homes. These are custom made to the customer’s size specifications. Any design or text can be laser cut out of the mirror finish stainless steel weight.

We also make custom size mud flaps for the wheel wells in the motor homes to the customer’s specifications.

I am so sorry. Hope we can help.
FYI We can just replace the weight you currently have on your mud flap. We do not need to replace the whole thing.

Hey, be careful of the DuraFlap dually mud flaps--they are so strong, they don't rip when needed----I backed over a mesquite log that caught the flap between the wheels and the log and proceeded to pull the flap downward due to wheel rotation. What happened was the DuraFlap stayed in one piece and pulled so hard on my dually fender, it tore the plastic apart.
Last time I did this several years ago, the flap (OEM) gave out first.
Since they are so strong, guess I am going to have to modify my bad backing habits...
Kudos to DuraFlap for a great product lineup.
Joe

Our usual cost for the mud flap across the back with any text you want is $580-620. You tell us what you want it to say, and in what font. Shipping within the 48 US Continental states is $50.
Or order now and we can bring your mud flap to the FMCA show in Gillette for a free install and no shipping costs.
You will need to measure and give us the height and any cut out measurements for your coach. There is information on our site to help you determine what is required. www. duraflap.com

Nina,
The mud flap survived, the fender died.

Perhaps you can give us your input on the problem some people claim to have with mudflaps dragging on the ground and actually causing stones to flip up and hit the toad.

The problem of the rear mud flap throwing rocks at the tow vehicle is a known concern.
We suggest that your rear mud flap be designed to hang no closer than 4" to the ground. When closer it may create a wind current that lifts small stones up allowing them to hit your toad. Or it may hit the ground when you are traveling on an uneven gravel road, which will throw rocks at your tow vehicle.

While the rear mud flap may help stop rocks from reaching your tow vehicle, we strongly suggest that you start with long enough mud flaps inside the dually fenderwell first. These can be more difficult to install due to the small space available to work inside that area, but they will stop about 80% of the rocks right where they start. These mud flaps also help protect your motor home and everything underneath such as holding tanks.

The rear mud flap adds a bit of bling to your coach. It can also be made custom to tell people more about you, by adding text that means something to you. It also helps friends find your coach in amongst many of similar design when you put a personal saying on it.

We hear stories all the time about how the rear mud flap helped keep large road debris from reaching the tow vehicle and doing serious damage.

So there are arguments for mud flaps both in the fenderwell and on the back of your coach.
