Award Winners for 2012

FOREST CITY, IOWA, May 31, 2012 – Winnebago Industries, Inc., a leading U.S. motor home manufacturer, is pleased to announce its top motorized product dealer sales award winners for the 2012 model year. Winners were announced at the Company’s Dealer Days event in Las Vegas, Nev., May 14-16.

Top sales awards were given to dealers of Winnebago®, Itasca® and Era® brand motor homes in the United States and Canada, as well as the top rental dealer and new dealer of the year for the Winnebago and Itasca brands.

This year’s award winners are:

· Top Winnebago Dealer – Eastern Area – Lazydays, Seffner, FL
· Top Itasca Dealer – Western Area – Guaranty RV Centers, Junction City, OR
· Top Itasca Dealer – Eastern Area - VR Emond – St Nicolas, QC, Canada
· Top Winnebago Dealer - Canada – VR St-Cyr – St Mathieu De Beloeil, QC, Canada
· Top Itasca Dealer – Canada – VR Emond – St Nicolas, QC, Canada
· Top Rental Dealer – Great Alaskan Holidays, Anchorage, AK
· New Winnebago Dealer of the Year – La Mesa RV Center, Inc., Davis, CA

In addition to these awards, 104 dealers were honored with the Circle of Excellence award in recognition of their excellence in customer satisfaction, as it relates to the customers’ sales and service experience with the dealer.

Maybe it's just me but these awards are a joke. La Mesa as a new dealer? Give me a break. Most of the folks I know that purchased from La Mesa in San Diego were dissatisfied and yet they always get a "Circle of excellence" award. Go figure.

I agree with Hoghead. These awards are a total joke and are just used as a marketing gimmick. They are probably only fooling themselves and the naive buyer by now.
