FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UNION CITY, IN, November 21, 2006
-"” Along with its other advantages, the new Workhorse UFO™ motor home chassis is also making life easier, and less expensive, for toy haulers.

More and more RVers are adding rear carriers and lifts to take their "toys"¯ "” motorbikes, ATVs, golf carts and the like "” along with them. Blue Ox has worked to design a new receiver tow hitch for the Workhorse UFO™ chassis. The hitch is rated at an exceptional 10,000 lb. capacity. Most such hitches are rated at 5,000 lbs. Blue Ox is the market leader in steering, towing, hitching and braking products.

In addition, Blue Ox has created an aftermarket three-port receiver hitch that can easily replace the regular hitch using the same bolt holes in the chassis frame. The add-on hitch's additional ports allow various carriers and lifts to be easily used.

Presently, attaching such a carrier hitch is a time-consuming and expensive process of metal cutting, drilling and welding. "I've seen dealerships spend up to six to nine hours installing these things,"¯ said Jay Hesse, president of Blue Ox. "The three-port hitch could save the RV customer as much as $400 to $500 because of the simplified installation."¯

"This hitch is another part of the added value that Workhorse owners receive,"¯ said Bob Wert, Workhorse vice president of sales and marketing. "As the RV customer's advocate, we look for any way we can to make the RV customer's experience a better one. This is a great example of what innovative partnerships can do."¯

Blue Ox hitch for Workhorse UFO™ chassis

The Workhorse UFO™ chassis was introduced in August. It is a rear-engine chassis that gives buyers a choice of a gas or diesel engine. It is also designed to allow manufacturers to build on a completely flat floor from front to back, creating more options for floorplans.

"Workhorse asked us if we would take the challenge of creating better hitch options for this chassis, so we did,"¯ said Hesse. "The result is a great solution for the growing number of toy haulers."¯
