Going for our 1st 5er

We are nearing a decision to purchase a new 5th wheel and wanted to get feed-back on which way to go: 1) Heartland Bighorn 2) Cedar Creek or 3) Tiffin Vanleigh? And the winner is?!?

We've had a Cedar Creek 34RL, it was fine for weekends and shorter trips. With it being only about 35 feet long, it was easy to maneuver when backing into a spot. We had some friends that had CC 36CKTS with full body paint. It was a very nice looking rig.

We presently are in the 39 foot Vilano, it is well appointed for fulltime living and is very comfortable. We've had this FW since Sept of 15 and absolutely love it.

I can't speak to the Bighorn, but I do see a lot of them out there. I've heard from Heartland owners that their customer service is good.

Good luck with your decision.

Which does DW prefer? That would be the best choice IMO. Oh - and in the colors she likes as well.

PS - I got to pick the truck.

IMO the floor plan that fits your needs and wants and like to have's will be the best one.

The one that is within your trucks real world towing capacity.

16,000# GVWR Trailer.......350/3500 Dually

After that.....the one with the floorplan that both of you like

One tip: Check it out with slides retracted.------can you still use the 'essentials'
Sometimes slides can't/shouldn't be extended for overnight stops
