Ed,
I have never seen a problem with running radio in parks. I run VHF/UHF and HF.
Very nice looking MH. I use a screw driver antenna for HF. Through the glass Larsen for VHF/UHF.

I did an install of a "Posey" screwdriver and TS-480 SAT and it tunes down to 80 mtrs. w/ zero SWR.. even without the antenna tuner in the 480! No UHF/VHF antenna yet.
May boot leg the original CB antenna mount and coax for an easy set-up
73's and happy trails

Ed,
The K4POZ antenna is a good one for sure.
I have mounted the Little Tarheel II, it is small, light and works good.
I get on the 40 mtr RV nets some, maybe I will hear you.
