Talking My new RV and our maiden brief voyage

An amazing friend gave me her "little RV" - I adore it and now after finding an independent RV guy here to teach me what I need to know -- FINALLY went out on my maiden voyage. Granted it was only one night - but i needed to go out, set up everything and see if I could do it alone. I camped with my best friend, just a girls nite out, complete with watching chick flicks and grilling/cooking! What a great night.

Campground was not busy and on the little circle - we were the only campers. I took my Rhodesian Ridgeback with me to make me feel a little safer. Sharing a couple of photos.

I learned so much as I set up camp, remembered you have to turn on hot water heater, when you dump, goes much better dropping the hose through the bottom hole and not the door latch. Many more things I learned - but bottom line is .... WHAT A BLAST!!!!

Here are a few pictures. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my little RV!!!

Now very ready to go out again!!

Good for you!!

My wife would NEVER attempt taking our MH out by herself although we're a little bigger. Even when we had a 17' Type B MH she wouldn't drive it.

Some good time are heading your way!!!

My husband has his boat and that is his thing. I have my dogs and love going to dog shows. So, I have to learn to be able go on my own. It actually gives me a great sense on satisfaction! And, pride thatni really can do it! Now just eager to go somewhere again!!

Donna,

Welcome, Welcome... I think it is just great that you can do it all yourself. Hubby and I have a 40 foot Revolution but because his health is not the greatest, I am the driver, butler, cook, and chief cook and bottle washer...LOL!!! You will find that doing it for yourself gives you a great sense of accomplishment and independence.

Wishing you many happy and safe adventures.

Faith

Bzeller -- gotta love a ridgeback! The most loyal, smart and protective dog I have ever owned. She is my shadow! Love love love my goldens and my rescue girl - but there is something special (and secure) about having a ridgeback. She loved the outing too. All the goldens get to go to shows frequently but since she isn't showing, this was a special trip for her.

Glad you had a great time and commend you on taking it on by yourself. Heck learning stuff is what it's all about. I've been doing this forever and it seems as though you learn something everyday that you can put into your "learning tool box". Hope you enjoy all your future travels. Be safe and Happy Motoring!!!

Beautiful sunset you caught on camera. I'll tell you the same thing I have told my wife and our two nieces.
"There is nothing in this world that you can not do, if you truly want to do it". I am proud for your independence, and success. Welcome to the world of RV camping.

You guys are just the best! Thanks for all the support and sharing in my excitement. I love being independent (probably too much for my husband's liking) - but it just makes me a happier person to know I can do whatever it is I want to do!

Now, if I can just get over my fear of getting up on the roof of the RV. I can't manage to conquer that fear, but haven't given up yet. Another reason it is good to have a 15 year old!
