Newbie arriving in Style

Just picked up a Neo Trailer and Dynamax XL as a first time RV owner! Drove them home from MHSRV in Alvarado Tx and it drives like a dream. I love passing big rigs at 75mph. Love me some Cummins 450hp, 1250FtLbsTorque.
On the way home, ran the fwd roof air off the inverter and that helped keep my co-pilot from getting too hot.

doesn't the cockpit ac cool you all off while driving? I never thought about turning the roof ac on.

We live in the desert and most times in summer when I start the RV, I turn on the generator and run all AC for the duration, only turning off to check oil.

We were heading west into the sun at noon when the cockpit(cab) began to get hot. I had the dash AC on full blast but the Freightliner windshield is huge. Dynamax used to provide this second inverter back in the day when they only had lead acid batteries and sure enough, a few owners ran the AC too long and really put a hurt on their battery bank. It is a common complaint with the M2 chassis that is fully open to the back of the coach. After about 4 hours I had to find a rest area to pull over and turn off the roof AC because we were both getting cold.

On my GT5, I run the generator as I drive. It runs the a/c and reefer. Keeps the rig a lot cooler than the engine a/c.

Well, if you're gonna wait nearly 7 years before making your 1st post, I'd say that's the way to do it. Congrats!
