Yes, for a retired guy it was, but it was very reasonable. And seeing just how much work it was, it was extremely reasonable.

The cost was less than 1/4 of what a place in Texas quoted me for the same job. They too quoted it being 6 weeks of work. And it was half what a local place quoted for a vinyl wrap. -Bill

Your bus looks great! Hubby and I dream of a new paint job, didn't imagine it would take 6 weeks, but it makes sense. We'll have to plan.

Did you go with the same color scheme as it originally was or a new one? Seems a rig of that vintage would have more swoops and swooshes.

I went with something completely different. Yes, I had all the swooshes and dark colors that every other modern motorhome has. Being based out of the southwest I wanted something with white above the basement so I had a graphic artist come up with this design/color scheme based on some simplistic drawings I did. There are three blog posts about getting the bus painted, and many other posts prior to that with pictures of the bus. -Bill

Oh, I see I never included the blog URL in this thread. Here is a link to the first post about the painting: https://cowlesmountain.com/Travels/2...paint-our-bus/
