Our First Motorhome - 2003 Fleetwood Bounder 35R

Here she is - 'Baby Bounder' - named by her original owners of 10 years. We picked her up on Friday. We're cleaning her up and getting her ready for the road/memories!

The kiddo's and wife are WICKED excited!

Super solid coach - Had it pre-inspected before purchasing. Report came back solid with few minor repairs needed and another issue on the generator. MOST was repaired (Chassis A/C still an issue - but price adjusted), had it inspected again and green light.

Next up - some new sneakers - original DOT date tires dated 2003 year - though no cracking and no tread issues, the date scares me. So, they'll get replaced SOON!

Congratulations! We bought an '03 last june. It still had original rubber that looked good no cracks lots of tread. I had the PO buy new but took delivery before install to make a shake down trip. Big mistake blew the left outside dually 100 miles into the trip. Approximately 10k in damage to the under belly and wet bay.

We had so much fun we bought a newer unit in February.

Good luck and safe travels, get that new rubber ASAP.

Congrats. Nice rig, looks just like mine. Good luck with it. I agree with dsbear change out them tires. When I picked up mine the tires looked good but were old. My first trip out weas only a few hundred miles each way so no issues. Second trip was to Fla on the way home the inside passenger dually blew. Luckily no other damage was done. I am sure the Fla heat was a contributing factor. Bought new tires all around right away.

Nice rig, seems in great shape. Hope it's all you imagine and then some. I know that for us it's been much better than we originally thought.

I see one excited person for sure! That MH looks clean as a whistle, almost like new. Don't take any chances at all, get those new tires ASAP. Not worth risking your family to ride on 10 year old tires. Have many wonderful trips in her!

Congrats. Bounder was on our short list of desired motorhomes when we were shopping. Liked the flooorplan and apparent value. Ended up with a 2003 Itasca that was similar in many ways. It too had the original tires. I was a little nervous taking it for a test drive. New tires installed were part of the deal before taking posession.
