We have a grandchild due to arrive in late October and grandma (and grandpa) don't want to miss a thing. We will most likely get it out very early and head south.
Thanks for all the welcomes. This is a great site with helpful info.

Yea, I 'had' to retire too. Finally got to where the savings account outweighed the employer induced stress. There was nothing else I could do.

Looks like you've been able to make lemonade from that lemon.

See you on the road!

Beautiful Rig and welcome to the Berkshire family!

We are in Mackinaw City right now. Staying at Mackinaw Mill Creek RV park with a lot on the water. Our site looks at the bridge and Mackinac Island. Watching a freighter go through the straits right now! What a stunning view!

We have put over 3K on our new Berkshire since March and it drives and rides great. We had a few problems with our dealer and Forest River stepped in and made everything right!

It's amazing how small this big old world can be! It was great to meet you and Diana earlier. Enjoy your day on Mackinac Island.

Smoky Mountains, Sevierville, Tennessee

Cold?
Head south.

The early retirement motto.

I didn't have to retire early but I did and I'm glad I did and never once looked back and wondered if it was a mistake.

DW pulled the retirement trigger 1 1/2 years ago and has been pushing me to do the same. Current plan is to go part time in August and hopefully go all the way by the end of the year. I wanted to go when my DW went but my company talked me into staying longer.

I have to admit I don't miss work all that much. Once we got everything set up the physical work is ok. I take it slow and try not to lift to much. The
rest like washing and changing the oil and maintenance will have to be hired out. I have always done my own but I'll get used to that also. We have met some great folks already and are going to the FMCA rally in Indy the end of August. That will be the furthest drive do far. It does bother me to drive I get a bit sore and the neck cramps up.
I think we will look into the IRV2 rally in September sounds like fun.
