Our New Full Time Rig

Just this week I picked up my new to me 06 Excel 30 RSO Limited (Bliss) in almost mint condition. I'm bringing her home to get ready to go full time. First off, she'll get the few rust spots cleaned up and painted. Then the big addition, a Hydralift after her frame gets reinforced. Then bring her home to set up and take a few trial trips before going full time next spring. I've owned my 06 F250 SC 6.0 since day one and it's been bullet proof, so I named it Bullet. Bullet will get a tool box and a 5'er tail gate.

First trip is drive Route 66 to Chicago, then on to MI to drop the rig and ride my Goldwing. I will do the Great Lakes Circle Tour with GWRRA's Wind Ding thrown in in Madison, WI. From there Nova Scotia, then likely south to see my son in NC, finally spending the winter in Florida.

Hey Big B - I like your set up and the Hydralift. I was not aware that 3 5th wheel manufacturers allow a motorcycle lift. I have not been able to write the check for an RV since we like to ride our scoot but could not take it with us on a 5th wheel. We prefer the 5th wheel floorplans over the class A's. Will have to look into those 5th wheels. We have a 2007 Goldwing. Purchased it new and now have about 160,000 miles on it. It has been to 49 states (just returned from Alaska), most of Canada including Nova Scotia & Newfoundland, across a pond (Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Spain & England. It has never been on a trailer, always ridden to destinations. Started riding when I was a kid and still not ready to hang up the helmet!!

Hyralift

Algolfer, I have an 07 GW w/Nav & ABS I bought nused this year, 9971 miles factory fresh. I am just finishing up fixing it up to my specs for touring. Joined GWRRA/CA-1R and am having a ball. Mens Thursday breakfast/ride club is great.
What I found out is, you can attach a Hydralift on an Excel, NH, or DRV up to 34ft. After that you'd need to add a 3rd axle. My first preference was/is to tow the GW in an enclosed trailer. Unfortunately most states east of MI don't allow doubles, that includes extensions.
The great thing about Hydralift is that they also make a detachable enclosure for the lift so our bikes are protected from the elements. For more info check out my website bpmotorcyclerving.com
