Started from the bottom now we're here!

As with most people, we started off tent camping. Moved on to a pop-up camper. After a few years of trying we've finally upgraded to our first TT! Couldn't be more excited! The wife already has 11 trips planned starting in March. Click image for larger version

Congrats on your camper purchase. Hope you have many happy and successful trips!

FYI, my parents had a travel trailer (1963), but my first camping experience (alone) was in 1971 when I camped from the back of a motorcycle. No tent, no protection. Just used a plastic sheet over the motorcycle, kind of stretched out and I slept on the ground in a sleeping bag. When first married, I had a 2 man pup tent and we slept in the back of a pick-up truck with a shell. The tent held all our camping "junk" while we slept off the ground in the truck bed.

We all start somewhere! The important thing is where we are at now! And having fun doing it!

Happy camping!

Good for you! It gets addicting! My wife and I bought our first this time last year and manage to take it out at least once a month. We just purchased a new 3500 dually which is a lot of truck for our current trailer but we know we will be moving up to a big 5th wheel some day!

We're weekend warriors lol. She's an emergency room nurse and I'm an elevator constructor so whenever we can fit it into our schedules. We live in Maryland so most of our trips are in the MD and PA area for now. Until I get more comfortable behind the wheel then we'll venture out a little further.

That is awesome. I always like to hear stories of how people started out.

My first camping trip, at 8 months old, I slept in the back seat of my grandparents '49 Ford under live oak trees at a nearby lake. The same weekend, sixty seven years later, our grand daughters and their parents were camping with us at the same lake. It's all about the memories you make and experiences you have.

Very nice looking rig, enjoy every trip.
