We Up/downgraded our coach

Bought our(first DP) Windsor in May of last year(20). Learned a lot, repaired a lot and needed more repairs. Owner we purchased it from called one day and wanted to buy it back(RV gods were looking down on me I felt) I came out couple grand to the good after my repairs, so it left in Sept 2 of 20. So search was on for another one. Right place, right time, first caller we found our original owner Coach in Colorado Springs. Few pics and calls later we got one way tickets to CO Sept 16, 20. Coach was everything describe. Deal was made and the 1500 mile first drive back to NC was great! ( well except for those bridge dips on the highway..lol)

Based on our standards and not necessarily what other folks would be.

By downgraded I mean we
went 40' to 38.5',
went from a Windsor to a Knight
8 bag to 4 bag suspension
side radiator to rear

On the upgrade side we
2000 to a 2004 model (purchased new in 2006 by previous owner)
From multi owner no records rig to one owner with meticulous records
documented yearly service records
Same engine- trans (8.3 330hp) but less weight=better performance
Two slide to three slides= lot more room
one couch to two couches (grand kids)
Two cracked windshields to none
120,000 miles to 46,000 miles with documented yearly use.
Generator from 1300 hours to 450 hours fully serviced, 7500W diesel
6 new batteries
all electronics, fridge, ice maker, AC, furnaces, lights in working order
no fogged glass
Extremely clean compartments, wiring bays, service bays
18 month old tires
Source Engineering upgraded trailing arms installed

Inside the coach, same build quality, counter tops, craftsmanship as the Windsor. The storage bays are poly vs the wood in the Windsor, but to me that is an up grade as no rot and less weight. Biggest difference is of course the suspension. The 05 model went to the 8 bag chassis and I knew this going in, but since we are not retired, most of are trips are shorter, wanted to pay cash, it put the 04 in our budget. We have put around 3500 miles on it since purchase and are extremely please. However I do have the Source Engineering Ride enhancement kit with new air bags, custom tuned shocks and ping tank coming next week. I hope the ride improvements are as good as all the reviews. If so we will be extremely please!
Sorry for the long post.
