Went with a Showhauler

After owning and enjoying every style rv but a 5th wheel we took delivery of our new Showhauler in August. We have put several thousand miles on it and can say without any reservation, it is the best rv we have owned.

Very few new rv problems and it drives like a dream!

Very nice. I imagine you have massive ccc and towing capacity as well? I don't think I've ever seen one in person...Seneca super c and dynamax are only ones I have seen. Yours appears to be of considerably higher quality [emoji106]

Saw one at the Pomona RV show. Beautiful! Think it tows 20,000 lbs. But for us we like our 5th wheel.

Don't confuse a "Truck Conversion" with a "Super C." The Caterpillar C-12 and 10 speed trans in my rig is the same as a truck driver I talked to and he drives in Michigan where he is always at 150,000 lbs. All day every day. The hitch on mine is rated at 40k lbs. I would bet jpgrocery's is also. I had a Allegro class A gasser before my T/C. There is just no comparison. It's apples to oranges. T/C's aren't for everybody that's for sure. All of the T/C owners I've talked to have told me they would never consider any other chassis motorhome.

It is a much more robust chassis, more horsepower and an amazing 12 speed transmission. Showhauler let us design the floor plan so it fits our family if six better than any we have had in years past.

Safety is a primary reason a person should consider a truck conversion. We have ten tires on the ground and a steel frame wrapped around us. The engine out front dissipates the heat better which is more important with the def systems than ever before.

I think the tow rating is 30k or 40k. The hitch is rated for 40k, don't think I will ever test the limits! I have always driven my RVs at what ever speed felt safe, usually 5 or 10 mph below the speed limit now I have to know what the speed limit is and choose to obey.
