11,000 posts

I would have never thought I'd be approaching 11,000 posts.

I discovered iRV2 when I started my fulltiming search for knowledge circa 2000. I joined in May 2000, just few months after iRV2's inception.

I soon became disillusioned with iRV2 as it was more of a social chit chat site than a RV discussion site and I rarely visited the site.

Several years later, when fulltiming started looking like it might be possible, I found that iRV2 had hit it's stride and had transformed into more of a RV knowledge site, much like it is today.

Once I started into home selling/RV buying process I became much more active on iRV2.

Immediately after taking delivery of my MH, I was at the Newmar factory as the windshield wipers didn't work right.

I happened to meet GaryKD for the first time in the parts department and he mentioned that I was parked next to Bob Gregory, whom I was aware of from the forums.

I went over to Bob's Essex and introduced myself and the rest is history.

So it's all Bob's fault!... or is it Gary's fault?

Well you have 4 years over me and I just broke 11,000 past month.
Had water problems with air intake on W-22 and found this forum 2004.
Tried to catch up with DriVer but thats a lost cause.
I must be slowing down, well congrats to us both.

Hi Dirk,
All I can add is it has been an honor to meet you, from time to time, as our paths crossed (it's been amazing where we have "run into" each other).

Thank you very much for your service to this forum. It has been a corner stone in helping the forum become what it is today.

Gee, I joined in March of 2000 two months before you and I thought I was doing good when I broke 1000 posts. Looks like I need to pick it up a little bit.

Boy I'm a little behind...I was on a "ALT" pop-up site at the time with someone I had meet online, He said hey check out this new site who the owner lives not far from us. I think he joined in March. I signed up in June. I think we had a 8-10 family campout that fall where he meet Bill (warpath) for the first time. The rest is history....

Thank You Route 66, Thank You 007, Thank You GaryKD and all the other members who make this site what it is.
Not only is it a great learning site, it is also a great small little social site where everyone feels part of the "Family". RebelBeach [former owner] with his on going problems, The Three Amigos, Seajay the Sailor with his Life stories. I could go on, but not enough room for every body.
Yes, we have our little misunderstandings, but without you guys to get us back on track this site would be just like the other sites, little or no help when we need it.
Again CONGRATS on the number of posts.

Hi Dirk (from slower lower DE), your 11000 post recalled fond memories! I too looked at the early version of IRV2. Lurked now and then, for knowledge. But when they began to require a register/password format I bolted. Not tech savy enough for that kind of activity then.

Several years later, like you I re-discovered IRV2's email and gambled by registering. It took many more years before I got to meet several LT heros in a Tampa tent. This March I even added DriVer and Edgray too. Thanks to all!
