We're 11 days away from leaving for Florida ourselves - and I just got home after spending the afternoon working on the coach at the storage lot. I enlisted the assistance of one of my sons to help me reassemble/rewire the coach's entertainment center. The "reassembly" was necessary since I had to empty the cabinet completely last week in order to install a small
cabinet exhaust fan (Visited AZ this past fall and came to the conclusion that the gear in the cabinet was simply baking in there!). With the "fan installation" phase of the job done completed last week - the electronics got rewired and put back together today. I the opportunity to improve the labeling on all the cables, etc. - as well as put together a nice little drawing for future reference. I'm happy with how that project turned out.
I also installed a Wireless Repeater in the rear closet of the coach in the hopes that it will help reduce the number of episodes I have with "lost sensor signal" messages on our TPMS system (
Doran 360RV System). With the combined coach and toad length being just a hair under 65 ft - we were having issues with the system's "brain" losing signal to the right rear sensor on the toad. Hopefully the repeater will help with that. I had to tap into one of the rear closet lights for a 12V power source - but all in all it was an easy install. According to the lights on the repeater - it's getting power as well as receiving and sending data. I won't know what sort of impact it has on the system overall until we've driving with it for a bit. I'm hopeful it does the trick!
As part of the visit - I exercised the generator for a couple of hours, fired up the Aquahot and brought the interior temps up to 70 degrees (ambient outdoor temp was in the low 30's today). I also confirmed that the "basement" heat was working as well by running the heater in the wet bay.
With these tasks done and out of the way - all that's left to do is load up for the trip! Next Thursday can't get here fast enough for my tastes!!!!!!!
