You won't have any trouble selling the frame and axles.

A friend of mine inherited a ranch that had an abandoned house trailer on it. He hired a guy to dig a hole and smash the trailer in it then cover it up.

Contact some local classic trailer clubs and advertise it as "Free". Also, put it on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for free. Getting rid of it for free without any work would, in my opinion, offset what I might get if I sold the axles or whatever.

Personally, I think the bury it onsite advice is a bad idea.

How much value can there be in a 60 year old axle and frame that has been sitting in the dirt/mud for 4 years? Maybe scrap value or $50 or so after you get all the body and flooring off. That wouldn't pay for the beer needed to get any help. This isn't a gull wing Mercedes W198 he has stuck in the ground, it's an old travel trailer.
