1999 F53 v10 running on 5 cylinders

Ran fine until I parked for a month in a rv park. When I moved next it lacked power. Diagnostics revealed error codes for Primary/secondary coil open circuit. I really doubt all 5 coils went bad so I checked for broken wire in the harness. Found none. Seems like engine shut down the passenger side cylinders to protect the engine. Very little info on this out there. If you have experience with this feel free to chime in.

Engine has an overheating protection where it will alternate shutting down cylinders if it overheats or thinks it has overheated. Basically a limp mode. Maybe start there?

I seriously doubt that it will shut down all the cylinders on one bank for limp mode. Check for power and ground on the coil packs that are suspect first. If it's the same as my 06, the PCM controls ground for the coils, so you should have power at each coil as long as the key is on.
