1999 Pace Arrow charred wires under hood

We just purchased a 1999 Pace Arrow Vision 34C motorhome. We just found some charred wires under the hood next to the black fuse box on the driver's side. There are several wires that have been clipped. Has any one else had this problem? We're very concerned about a fire because of this. The person who sold it to us apparently knew about it because we found an inspection mentioning it. There are a few things that don't work including the steps and the fans above the seats in the cab. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

At the risk of sounding discouraging. you just bought someones' headache. Your best move is try and find an electrical schematic for it and begin identifying and tracing the charred wires to their origin. If you don't know anything about electrical you will need to do some studying.
