2000 Condor DASH AC NOT WORKING....NEED HELP
Hello....I have had my 2000 R-Vision Condor into the shop to have the ac checked. I blows hot all the time. The vacuumed the system down, recharged and everything appears to be working on that end. Inside the unit, it always blows hot air.....seems like a "blend door" is not opening or closing etc. Any suggestions how to test to see if the dash control is working....blend door....or any other thoughts..... Thanks....Brad

2000 Condor DASH AC NOT WORKING....NEED HELP
Sounds like the Evans valve on the heater hose for heat. They can get stuck open and then your heat is on full blast. People have put ball valves in to manually shut off.

You can test by pinching one of the hoses and see if the AC now works inside.

Thank you for the response. I will try this out. I do know that one line going in is hot and the other coming out is cool. I wonder if that is a sign of it working?

Hi Brad! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Sorry but I'm not familiar with that rig.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Heater hose or a/c hose?
A/c hose small and larger (liquid and suction hose) small hose will be hot before expansion valve, suction hose will be cold. Heater hoses will be approximately same size, should be hot on one hose and warm to hot on other side.

I went through this and finally had to do it myself to get the a/c working properly. As mentioned above first check the heater control valve. It is likely leaking. If you replace it you want one like this. It absolutely stops the water flow.
I then replaced the a/c driver, expansion valve and every single O-ring. I flushed the system, drained the compressor oil and replaced it with the spec amount. Vacuumed the system to 30hg and then recharged it. It finally worked properly and even buying the gauges and vaccum pump to do it myself it was cheaper than paying someone over and over to do a 1/2 arsed job.
