I have a 2007 Hurricane with the F53 engine. Replaced the alternator and still not charging. Anyone have a wireing diagram or ideas?

Most folks will probably need a bit more info about your system. Are you referring to chassis battery charging, house battery charging or BOTH.

I had a similar problem with my coach in that the alternator was NOT charging the house battery when the engine was running. In my case it was the "emergency" start switch that was faulty. Here's a rudimentary diagram of how most F53 charging systems work.

It is the chassis, I am reading 12vdc at the alternator when the engine is running. I would expect to have 14vdc with a new alternator.

I'm no expert with alternators, but if I were troubleshooting I'd use this youtube video to get me started.

Have the original checked. If bad, have the replacement checked, could be a bad rebuild.

If the old one checks good, look at the small wiring for a problem.
