Unhappy 2008 Mountaineer Ceiling Stains

My 2008 Mountaineer has brown stains on the ceiling and they seem to be under the rafters. Presently the responce fron Keystone is to see if they can be cleaned. Has anyone had this issue. The route cause is not to clean but find the source and make the required repairs to stop them. I have been dealing with Camping World where I purchased the unit; they are not very responcsive.

Hi Cletus,
I had stains on my ceiling, running front to rear. Took it to the factory. At first they thought they would need to replace the ceiling! They tried several cleaning solutions and got one to work. They would not or could not tell me what they used. It seems it was a home made brew by one of the Amish worker's family. Everything is fine with the ceiling.

First consider determining if there is or is not a continuing source for the stain. It may not be a leak, but a reaction to the unit being cleaned for delivery to you. Call Newmar at 800-343-7357. Ask for technical support. They are very helpful.

Welcome Cletus to irv2.
Here are some threads with different methods of stain removal.
You will need to find the source from which they came. Call as Gary said they can help.
If cannot find the source give us a yell we'll try to help locate it.

Had the same problem with my 07 Montana and when I took it back to the dealer they cleaned it with wd-40 on a white rag. That was about 6 months ago and the stain has not returned to that area although a few new ones have poped up and I will just get out my handy rag and some wd-40 and handle it myself this time around.
