2017 Dallas RV Super Sale

Even though we had just attended the Houston RV and Motorhome Show for three days, a week earlier, we drove up to Dallas for the 2017 Dallas RV Super Sale Show. But this show wasn't about seeing more motorhomes. It was about the seminars.

Although the Houston show was much larger, in general, the Dallas show had more seminars in one day than the Houston show had during its entire 5-day run. I think we only walked into two motorhomes, while we were in Dallas. But we attended all but one of the seminars on Saturday. For the record, all of the seminars were good and we got something of value from all of them.

One point of interest is that, while the Houston show had more total vendors, the Dallas show had more vendors that were not in any way related to the RV lifestyle. Why would any business think that people looking to buy an RV or motorhome would want to buy a walk-in bathtub or rain gutters? Go figure…

As with the Dallas show, last fall, the line was terrible. They had only two ticket sellers and it was a long wait. But the seminars made it worthwhile. By contrast, the Houston show had three ticket windows open at each end of the hall, so although the lines were somewhat long, they moved very fast.

I shot a short video, showing the line and the size of the Dallas show. If you're interested, you can see it on my blog at:
