2017 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Question

We recently purchased an Endeavor E and know we will enjoy it. I hope someone can help with a major problem we have had.

While driving yesterday the sliding compartment on the front of the rig slid open. We cannot get it to stay closed. What are we doing wrong and why did it slide open while driving?

Welcome to the forum. Are you referring to the generator slide? If so, it should definitely latch with a solid click. Since your rig is new it could easily be out of adjustment. Or maybe it just needs a good slamming until the foam seal smashes a bit.

We have a 2016 Endevor and had the same problem. First we couldn't get it on-latched, dealer adjusted and than it came sliding open at a stop sign! There is an adjustment on the latch, which I did and also installed a safety strap on the slide rails to prevent it from moving if the latch fails again. Very poor design by HR

It's brand new...if you can't solve the problem easily, call HR or the dealer.

We've looked for some sort of latch or other way it may be secured, but found nothing. Even with both of us slamming it, it does not go flush with the rig. Contacted the dealer, they are sending a mobile tech to find out what is happening. Will let you know what happens now.
