Another option would be to buy a used 30' 50 amp rv cord off Craigs list, Market Place, E-Bay and cut one or both ends off. I removed our transfer switch and just plug in the gen or pedestal power manually. The transfer switch is full of connectors and there are some cases where some connectors have loosened and the sparks have caused RV fires (just search on web).
The swivel trailer does not have a suspension and the generator may be in for a jarring ride. My motorcycle rides on our swivel trailer and in the rear camera, it will bounce pretty hard sometimes even with the bike shocks.
Also, it should not be too hard to run the cord through the basement compartments. My fifth wheel has access flaps w/zippers on the underside and I have run cables and wires from front to back keeping them unexposed and hidden.

There is only one source for the power connection to the panel; the shore power cord. You either plug it into the campground power post or you plug it into the generator outlet. When we pack up at the CG, we coil the cable in the electrical bay and plug the end into the generator outlet. Then we can start up the generator wherever we need to.
