I used to have a '95 Monaco Dynasty with the C8.3 mechanical engine. This is how to set high idle speed using the cruise control on that coach.

Engine idling with transmission in neutral. Turn cruise on. Touch SET. Then touch RESUME repeatedly until the desired idle speed is obtained.

On my coach, I had to touch RESUME 13 times to begin raising the engine RPM, then each additional touch of the button increased the idle speed 100 RPM.

Hope this helps.

Jim
i have this same setup and that's how i boost my idle.

I have a 99 Mountain Aire 40’ Diesel Pusher with the same engine and had the same question. What I found out is that although our Coaches have Cruise Control there is no way to use it for High Idle. Just use a ruler or a piece of wood on the accelerator Pedal. In my case the face plate from dash stereo works just right.
Hope this helps

Same for my 99 ISC 8.3 engine.I have a dumb steering wheel, nothing but horn button.

The OP showed a photo of a 'smart' steering wheel, so I figured his cruise control was Spartan or part of the ECU function. You mention a 'dumb' wheel, so I wonder if you've looked up your cruise control make and model to see if it does have a fast idle setting. My dashboard mounted one (KC-2500 Cruise King) has a way to set up fast idle. (Instructions call it 'Electronic Hand Throttle)

I was born in PA, lived in Indiana for a time, spent the last 40 years in Ohio. Back in the late '60's in my VW Microbus, I used a brick on the gas pedal to give my foot a break. Nothing wrong with a stick or Arkansas.

Totally agree. Never said there was. Just a simple observation.

My CC is in the turn signal stalk, just like an automobile/pickup today. CC works normally, just no high idle method. My chassis is a 1999 Spartan MM GT, built 11/99.

Have you looked for the manufacturer of the CC? If it's not integrated into the ECU, it might have possibilities to up the idle for airing up.
