This guy sounds like the car salesman that told my husband that the gas mileage on their brand of truck would not decrease when pulling a 32', 12000 lb fifth wheel....

Are you kidding me?! How funny!!! Did he laugh in his face? I am not an in your face person and kind of do an internal eye roll when salesman make "odd" claims, but on that one, I would not have been able to contain myself.

Warren & Debbie
Along those lines . . . just a little. There were 6 or 7 escaped Texas convicts a few years ago that stole a MH and stayed at a Park in Woodland Park CO. Just west of Colorado Springs. They were there quite a while and made a significant number of friends in the park. They helped just about everyone including the managers whenever anything needed to be done. They picked up items for folks when going to town. Seems they had great personalities. RVrs were shocked when the local Sheriff arrested them. Some were murders and other significant felonies.

Like Warren said, must be something about the camping atmosphere that just has a calming, positive affect on people.

DH just walked out of the dealership. I don't think he even bothered responding.

Been doing this for over 40 years and never had a problem in a campground. Man, this guy was spreading it on thick, even for a salesman.

Trailer parks sometimes have a higher crime rate, the key word here is Trailer Park, not campground or RV campgrounds. Having owned a Trailer park, I sure had some questionable renters. But I know that 70Per Cent of them were not arrested. Most of the time that someone was arrested in the park was for non support or nsf checks.

They could have made a Bogart movie out of that!
It could have co-starred Aldo Ray and Peter Ustinof. "Seven Angels - Not" would make an interesting title.
It could be that 70% of criminals who try to hide out in campgrounds get caught because they most times stand out and the decent folks staying there will quickly turn them in.

Being a Soldier I have traveled the world. Last week we did our virgin RV camp in our home town. Amazinggggg I'd live in an RV camp....you people are awesome. Helpful, respectful, plaesant, and friendly. Wow sorry I waited so long to join RV'g. Of course I am glad that their are a percentage of you that seem to be responisble gun carriers. Has any body out there read the OX bow? Don't think RV'g are the type they seem (limited experience for sure) to be level headed fun loving people.
