I will uncover the rv very early March on a dry day. We will go somewhere that first sunny & warm weather weekend in March. Last year was to Mammoth Caves. It was a perfect trip.
This year I’m eyeballing southern Illinois.

Another thing for me is I don't want to do winterize only to have to do it again.

Thanks,

Being slightly south of MI. (NE. Ohio) we aim to get out the first week in April to a local state park. There are two local state parks where the campsites are not totally muddy.

We don't wait. We have state parks and state forest parks that are open year round. (when they're plowed) We winterize and take water with us. Too much to do to wait until spring!

I have a seasonal business that coincides with spring boat launch so I don't get time until sometime in May or June but this year I'm adopting a life is too short attitude (lost too many freinds and family my age in the last couple years) so we may end up on the road in early April.

Although in Michigan that may require me to drain the water system when we get snow in May.

We are on the northwestern shore of Lake Superior and our first trip is the first week in June . If we get an early spring , we could get out by mid May. Our winter storage season is longer than our summer camping season. We do not venture out once the temps are below freezing.

Over here near Cleveland I now have to plan for my unit to be ready by early April as the major racing season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is now starting the first weekend in May. We may be down there as early as the second weekend in April this year.

I was prepping/de-winterizing in a mild snow squall last year in March. Got a few laughs from my neighbor.....

No regular schedule but this year we are leaving Michigan last week of February. Traveling to Florida to visit family then work our way up the Atlantic Coast returning around mid March.

That makes our campers last 2x as long... at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
