AAA, Don't trust Them!
I recently had a mechanic le breakdown on my Fifth Wheel trailer and was unable to stay in it for three Days while it was repaired. I filed a trip interruption claim with AAA insurance company and was denied for two reasons:
1.) my trip was longer than 45 Days.
2.) the Breakdown was for my trailer not the tow vehicle.
I have been in the phone with several people at AAA and they all say there's nothing they can do.
I have AAA premier Coverage that used to cover this type of incident.
They changed the rules and even searching the web site I couldn't find the changes.
I have been with AAA for 17 years but, now I'm dropping them! They are useless for RV coverage!

Sorry to hear it. Sounds like you need to check into Coach-Net, Good Sam, or RV RoadHelp for RV-specific roadside coverage.

Remember that AAA is just another insurance company that wants to retain its revenue versus paying claims.

Have a friend with Coachnet who turned in a trip interruption claim when they also had a mechanical breakdown and were stranded while their truck was repaired. Their claim (for the RV park costs, meals etc) was denied because the cause of the trip interruption was from a break down and not an auto accident. I have Good Sam Roadside Service and checked my policy, it is very specific saying the interruption has to be caused by a collision with another vehicle. Just be aware that even with these "Rv friendly" policies not everything is covered in every circumstance.

I have had AAA for ever and like the company. I was curious about the coverage and found it here:
AAA Home
Looks like it at best covers only one night and a max of $1500.

Good point. I just checked our Coach-net coverage and it does specify 'collision' for trip interruption benefits.

Hmm, guess I need to check ours, we have ours through FMCA since 2004. The card says benefits are provided through "National Motor Cllub" and Coach-Net. The card doesn't even show what level we have which would be nice since ours is one not even listed on the site. When I renewed they said we had the "Gold" plan but the benefits kind of seem to be what is now called "Basic"

Its always a good idea to read and understand what a policy does and does not cover before making a claim or flaming.

Let's not let a good anti-insurance company rant be spoiled by facts...
