Address for Painting Perfections in Puerto Penasco

Hi!

We are going to Rocky Point for some painting by Chuy. Does anyone have his actual shop address ir instructions to get there? He said Avenida Emiliano Zapata and Calle 21 but our rv gps did not take that. I want to make sure we do not drive somewhere the rv can't go.

Thanks,
Les

Please update with your experiences with the process. Before and after pictures, and pricing if you dare.

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay. Experience was good overall. A few things to note.
1. Lukeville entrance to Mexico easy to drive in, go VERY SLOW though and take direction from the border guard. Exiting back to the US, the issue was they made you zig zag through and we BARELY fit. We have 36 foot motorhome and a towed vehicle.
2. Driving through Sonoyta - No problems but dri e VERY SLOW and look for and stop (3 seconds at least) at all stop signs. Some stop signs are not obvious.
3. Painting was 5 days for around the roof perimeter (where we had clearcoat peeling) (full sand and 5 color paint too), a large section of the front redone (1 color and gel coat) where previous 3M film removal caused damage, a large side section redone (1 color and gel coat), and multiple touch ups ( 5 colors). The cost was 2500 and the color match was perfect. It is not a "factory" quality paint job - some orange peeling, and you can feel but not see where it butts up against factory paint stripes; but it looks great, especially for a 2008 motorhome (we get compliments) and the price (a quote from a Florida paint business was 7500 for just the roof perimeter and a few touchups).
4. Check your stuff though. The paint job was great. But, though we looked at the roof from the ladder, we did not get on the roof (we did not want to walk on the new paint by the ladder), so we did not see that they accidentally cracked our shower skylight. Also, they did a small fiberglass repair that later seemed to recrack. And, they forgot to put on the decorative bracket covers when they remounted a slide topper (we did not notice until later since it blended in).
5. Overall, we're really pleased though. I'll just attach a couple before and after pictures. It is hard to see the previous clearcoat peeling unless you zoom in.

Thanks for the update. Did you stay with the coach the whole time? What dates and how was the weather? How about Covid requirements?

Was thinking about having Chut do some painting on my CC. By any chance do you still have his phone number?
Thanks
Mike

Been there many many times. Chey is more expensive than other person on the lot. He is a little short with Americans also. Liked the other young man better and he did great work. Been going there for about ten years. Great place on the ocean to camp. Safe as can be, never a problem.

safe travels all

It was March/April. Weather was nice. We stayed at a hotel with all the sanding and painting and we wanted to use AC. He has a covered/walled work area with gates.

Who is the other person? We were not camping but took ours straight to Chuy's shop. We had not heard of someone else in Puerto Peņasco. Always good to know who is out there.
