Buyer Beware

Dometic isn't too happy, as the Advent is a Chinese copy of one of their products.

Dometic issues warning about Chinese look alike RV air conditioners

What is more likely is the service department can get these units dirt cheap and make more money selling them at a comparable price to a Coleman Mach or a Dometic unit. If the Chinese build RV refrigerators like they build RV tires, I can only say "Run, Forrest! Run!"

And I will not have a Dometic or recommend one. Coleman has the better unit.

I don't see how anybody could claim that an Advent is "better than a Coleman". Advent has only been on sale in the USA for a few months and there can't possibly be any track record on them yet. And the general reputation of Chinese knock-offs is not good. They aren't all crap, but...

I think I would stick with a known brand with a good US service network that can take care of them. That Advent would have to be half price to tempt me.

I was commenting on the Dometic. And seeing how the Chinese "engineer" their stolen products, they will most likely "engineer" it with the same problems.
