Thumbs up Advice on getting around Parks and Monuments etc

Hi,
We are completely new at the RV life. Going cross-country and looking to haul transportation. Any suggestions on best mode, equipment, storage etc? Just us two. Dogs stay behind.

A 4 wheel down Toad would be advised.

We pull a 07 GX470 and love it - easy to tow - comfortable to drive - on and off road - goes anywhere - easy - not easy to find but IMHO beats a Jeep.

JMHO,

edit - would help to know a little about you and your RV - as we/they are all different and what works for me will not work for everyone or every vehicle.

Agree that a 4 down towed vehicle is best. Simon Cowell notwithstanding, E-bikes are a great addition to your RV. But I suggest storing them inside the RV if at all possible, they are tempting targets for thieves and there isn't a chain or cable strong enough to even slow down a thief with a good pair of bolt cutters and a battery powered side grinder.

Congrats on your upcoming trip....

What kind of RV do you have?
What is it's towing capacity?
Are you planning on small car/SUV/truck to be towed (if you have a Motorhome)?

What to tow/how to tow it all depends on Details.

Hi,

If you new to RV life and your RV might I suggest a few things:

- make a lot of small trips close to home first, work out the kinks.
- you'll get some more experience driving as well.
- invest in a GPS for the RV, Garmin makes one, keeps you out of trouble
- www.rvtripwizards.com it's a great investment.

Making small trips and working out the bugs reduced the stress for us and allowed me to get used to driving the RV before getting stuck in rush hour traffic or tight scenarios that make me far less nervous now.
