Air compressor, hose and able length questions

Hi,

What length of each of the below do you carry including spares?

A: Dump
B. Water
C. Electrical

Also if you have a seperate air compressor for winterizing do you keep it in the coach all the time along with Rv anti freeze, or do you keep them at home?

Thanks,

I have heated indoor storage so I do not winterize.

Yes, I have more than I need, but I have had to use each one at full length at different times. I live in mine full time so I don't winterize.

Thanks both.

I have 20 foot of sewer hose in the coach. We do have 100ft of water hose and electrical cord as coach is not stored next to the house. I store the lot in the coach now but open to leaving some of it at home.

Started with 20 feet of sewer hose, then had to buy another piece at one campground to reach, then I had 30 feet. End came off one piece (while in use, of course) so had to fix that. End came off again this year so I will probably toss it and be back to 20 feet (only needed all 30 feet that one time)...
Water hose, 50 feet IIRC.
Electrical, whatever came with the camper (haven't measured). One time I had to use the 30/50 adapter dogbone to reach the pedestal (it's an older 30A coach), other than that have had plenty of line.
Carrying a small air compressor onboard for the tires, full timer so I don't winterize. Need a gallon and a half of RV antifreeze?

Hi Dave,

I have a Vair compressor for the tires and a cheap pancake for winterizing.

Cheers,

Stephen

Thanks,

The simple answer is more than I need. We've camped a lot of different places and over the years I've finally gotten more than I need cause it sucks being a few feet short of being able to hook up once you get there.

A: probably 80' of dump hose all in 10 or 20' sections.
B: 150'ish again I've needed over 100' at times.
C: 50' main cord and I think another 50' extension.

We have the Viair RV model air compressor and really like it.

We park the MH at our house and I have a large compressor in the shop I use to either blow out the lines or winterize but I'm in Texas so it's not usually a big deal.

The rig has a 25 ft 50amp power wind cord. I also have another 25ft that I use to connect the RV to the house.

I carry a 25 ft fresh water as an optional extension to the 25 ft spring wind up fresh hose.

Onboard is an inexpensive electric power washer that has about a 25 ft pressure hose

Probably 20 ft of slinky hose.
I also have a 50 ft large diameter garden hose for the macerator pump. I use that to dump when parked at the house to the shop toilet. One of these days I'll add a septic pipe extension the the shop septic tank that is right near by.

I use the shop air compressor to winterize as it's always charged and has a 50 ft windup hose.
Carry a Vlair pump on the RV for tires. And a high volume air pump to put air in water toys.

RV antifreeze stays in the shop / barn.

Send a message via Skype™ to legrandnorm
- DUMP: 2 X 20' with a quick connect to use both (rarely used)
- WATER: I have 3 X 25', (I use one and the other 2 are to wash the rig)
- ELECTRICAL: 1 X 25' extension cord of the same gage as original

p.s. I'm just responding to the original question, forget about your fake news, thanks

UD-

Dump: One 15-foot, one 10-foot
Water, fresh: One 10-foot, one 20-foot, one 50-foot
Water, rinse: One 15-foot, one 25-foot, one 50-foot
Electric, attached to coach: One 30A, 20-foot
Electric, extension: One 30A, 25-foot

I don't use air for winterizing- antifreeze only

I do carry a 120VAC air compressor in the coach, rated 150 psi, for inflating tires. I also keep a 120VAC pancake compressor at home.

Thanks all for the replies.

I found more permanent homes in the basment bays for the extra items.

We have a small AC compressor with a 15' hose to fill tires and clean out fridge, water heater and furnace burners etc. It is always in the coach. Since we live in FL, we never have to winterize.
