Aluminum foil insulation
Buying aluminium foil in the Camping World store to put inside the motorhome against the windows blocking the Arizona heat out for storage over the summer.
Another customer advised me not to use the foil. It would do something with the windows. What exactly I did not understand.
I do it for several years what could couse a problem ?

It depends on what style windows you have. Use of Aluminum foil or bubble wrap for thermal insulation has been said to cause damage/fogging to dual pane windows. Whether urban legend, or not, the driver and passenger side windows on my Safari TREK are dual pane, and I don't want to chance any damage after having these windows rebuilt at Suncoast Designers | RV Window Repair Specialists in Hudson, FL I do use Aluminum bubble wrap on the inside of the windshield, and it is very effective.

Have you thought about just putting a cover on it? Personally, I ended up buying a cover for summertime storage. Why not protect the whole coach? Beyond that, you could get covers for the outside of the windows. I can't recall who makes them right now, but I know I've seen a company that will make snap on window covers for all the RV windows.

Those that have used foil insulation have had the best success if that attach it to the outside.

The windows are foggy so the previous owner will have used alu foil.

If you want to re seal the fogged windows yourself contact Dave Root rv foggy window, creepy black seal, motorhome foggy window DIY. He has kits and will walk you through it. I had him do mine as I pass through Eugene twice a year. He used to do FMCA rallies also. It made a BIG difference.

All my windows are single pane, I tinted most of the windows and made covers for the windshield and the two small side windows.
Significant difference...

All of my side windows, except the driver and passenger side windows, have valances. I'm not sure if I can get the tint on without removing them. Did you have this problem?
I'm going to use the 35% tint so it won't be quite so dark.
