Yes it can be fixed DIY if you are savvy with methods and tools.
The rubber probably got stretched a bit, but maybe not in the right places.
Yes if it rained, the water got where it's not supposed to go. First step is to examine and dry out whatever got wet. I would take out the ceiling speakers and take a feel of the insulation to see if it's wet. That only applies if you have fiberglass batt insulation. If foam, it's harder.
Look under the rubber to see if the wood is wet. Hold the rubber off the roof with wood to get air underneath to dry it out. Once all is dry, then clean and remount the rubber roof and use eternabond tape to seal the edges. Ensure any punctures are also sealed.
