Amazon Audible
Anyone have comments on this. Are there enough book selections to make it worth while? I'm a Amazon prime member and this web site seems to indicate that prime members get some of the audible services for free.

From amazon -Prime-exclusive audiobooks are a small selection of audiobooks only available to Prime members. Just open the Audible app on your device, go to the*Channels*tab, and scroll down on the Featured tab until you see Audiobook Collections.

Thanks Mark. Being a Prime member can I get free audio books without paying the monthly subscription. It appears I get some free books but only after subscribing.

i am a member of amazon prime, but not a member of audio. I am listening to a audio book right now and no I did not signup for the free period.

I know this sounds crazy, but get a library card. I have one (ok I’m signed up with the library) and I can check out an audio book for 21 days for free. I download the book and listen when I want like walking the dog, driving by myself, or a different book when traveling a distance with my wife. Don’t need to be home to do the download. Selection is awesome and you can get most best sellers or sign up on a wait list and get it about 45 days later. Generally the quality is great.

Mark, so by your statement above I'm assuming you paid for the audio book. They seem a little pricey but you do get a discount by joining Audble and some free titles monthly. So why not join?
I looked at the Audible app and didn't see any popular books or any I recognize. Maybe I need to look closer.
NorCal, doesn't sound crazy at all. I'm going to check it out at our library. I didn't know you could download titles.

I use audible. Download books to my iphone, then connect the phone via bluetooth to the coach's radio and listen. When in the toad, just connect via bluetooth and start where we left off. Or when jogging or walking, plug in earbuds and start where we left off. Works great.
