For those with AMEX cards, be aware. AMEX is making changes to their cash rebate program(s). I have several AMEX cards and so far, this affects only the SimplyCash Business Card.

I got the mandatory letter today notifying me that effective July 15, fuel cash rebates will change from 5% to 3% for the SimplyCash Business Card. This is for fuel purchases up to $12K per year. If one purchases more than $12K of fuel the cash rebate is 1%.

I have not received (yet?) this notice for my other AMEX cash back cards. At this time, they remain at 5% cash back for fuel purchases with no purchase limit. AMEX has so many different cards; all with their own terms and conditions (T&C). The best I can recommend is to understand your card's T&C so you get the largest rebate possible.
