Good point, check and open the emergency windows twice a year. The first time after buying the coach, the windows were very difficult to open.

Wow Pete, that's incredible and sad to see, terrible. I noticed all the siding on your shed melted away too. Did the shed make it through?

Sorry this happened to you, definitely one of my worst fears. Glad you weren't harmed.

it might be just me... like to dig things to the bottom... although i still don't have an info on how to open an exit window on my country coach, here is a video showing the procedure on a fleetwood. hope it's beneficial for some of you:

I always place my step ladder or a picnic table under the bedroom window which is also the rear emergency escape window. I also have two adjustable shower rods nearby as they are my closet door locks when traveling but have been removed to use the closet doors. They make a great window holder to keep the window open while climbing out.
