Any News on North Trail in Ft. Myers?

The Hurricane went right thru there.
Did they take the RVs away?
Did it get hit?
I was going to visit them in January 2023

I saw a large rv storage building on the news that had the roof ripped off. Look like it tossed a few trailers. Place looked full. Hope it isn’t as bad as it looked. I believe it was in FT Meyers.

Unless you know facts, why post speculation under these circumstances?

You might try calling the park in question for accurate information.

We were scheduled for orientation on a new DS 4369 this Monday. It’s our first RV. But obviously nothing in comparison to those who have lost their homes from this disastrous hurricane. Our hearts and prayers go out to them.

Have they contacted you to reschedule? Do you know if their lot flooded and RV's ruined? We were were considering an RV there. Hope all the employees are safe.

I don't understand it. It takes less time to dial the #888-798-6678 & get accurate information than it does to inquire about any damage here on this site.

Because they haven't answered that number in two days. In fact today all numbers for North Trail RV have said "this number is no longer in service".

Just down the road from them the report I am getting from my winter location is no phones, water sewer or power, and no timeframe yet as to when any of the above will be back. Cellular is spotty, and not all carriers are back up and running yet. We should hear more this weekend from FPL (Florida Power) what their timing is for SW Florida. According to todays email from them they have the keys and the SE Florida back online, and sporadic online up the east coast and central FL areas affected. SW will be the last to get back online as they will be having to rebuild infrastructure in some areas that were worst hit.

We lost power for two days, today FPL said all east coast power outages will be complete. Then they will send ALL crews to SW Florida to help you. I am impressed with FPL and their out of state linemen (we had PIKE electric here).

Yup, FPL and Desantis are both indicating the SW will take longer because some of the infrastructure is going to have to be replaced....the closer to the ocean the more damage and possibility it will have to be replaced not repaired. Everyone on the E side of the Caloosahatchee River I expect will have power back sooner rather than later.

The loss of life and other damage to homes and business's is staggering. Prayers for all affected.
With RV site electrical being underground this could be a cold winter for a lot of us thinking we were going to be in FL.

They might be up and running by January.

It could take weeks before power is back in some areas.

Ian seems to have left more water damage than wind damage.

But power and clean up are only the beginning of problems.

Insurance claims can take weeks to process. ...if you're lucky, usually takes months.

Building materials are going to be hard to source for months.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Laura, it was 32 days before we had power.
And no real substantial clean up could be done until then.

I lost 5 roll up doors on the shop buildings.
After I had cleaned up around the shop enough to start repairs on my buildings, it took 5 weeks for my doors to arrive.

The storm hit late August, it was November before we were even had a semblance of being back in business.

I just did a quick Google and came up with this... and it mentions North Trail:
