Any other duners?

This site seams to be made up of mostly campground types. Was wondering if there are any other duners in the crowd?

I run Sand Mountain UT as a home sand, and travel to St. A for the 24th of July every year.

I am a duner and a campground person. Love St A's as well as Little Sahara. You might get more responses in the toyhauler section..

We hit the dunes near Coos Bay every year for about 2 weeks and usually
Sand Mountain in Nevada each year as well. Been to St. Anthony and plan to go back there next year.

Last year when I went to Sand Mountain proceeded to bury the MH up to the axle (was my fault in how I tried to back up on hard packed ground). It was my third time out with the motorhome and I was not a happy camper. Called Good Sam tow service and they sent a big wrecker out from Reno to get me out and the insurance company picked up the complete tab. After that I was a happy camper again and very glad I had tow insurance.

We ride quads is that what everyone else has or do some of you run sand rails?

We were through Glamis a month ago. I was fascinated by the toys you guys play with (DW somewhat less so). Very little like that here and certainly none we can play on.

Its ridiculously fun.

Weve got a turbocharged RX-7 powered 4 seat rail in our group.

Its got at least 14-16 travel each side and runs like a raped ape.

You see stuff in glamis Ive never seen anywhere.....

I run a 96 4 mil Banshee, the group I run with has a wide selection of toys. Long travel 2 seat honda V6 power, rotary engines on boost, Ford thunder coupe powered, VW power, VW power on boost, and even on Auto Craft monster "VW" engine, Busa powered mini cars (look up the Barbi car on Youtube) There are Cub powered Banshees, stock, ported, the works, a few 4 poke quads in the mix too.

Good stuff guys! My DW and i fall into the "northern version" of what you guys do. We head out mudding every weekend with the quads....not too much sand up around here. We take out a couple of lifted, snorkeled, big tired Can Ams.
