Anyone have experience with a Heartland TT?

We just bought our very first RV today, a Heartland North Trail Caliber Edition, 26LRSS. It's 30' long and we like the lay out. We're having them add a couple of things before we pick it up. But we are excited.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this brand and model?

I had a 2014 big horn. There warranty service is a pain. Could never get through on the phone. Good luck.

deeojoe, didn't the place you bought the Heartland Bighorn from handle the warranty work?

Dmrad, congrats on the new trailer! I have a 2009 Heartland Bighorn that I bought used. I can't comment on warranty response as I haven't used it, but I belong to the Heartland Owners Forum and just like ALL RV manufacturers warranties, you will find those with good reports and those with bad. Much of the trailers components are not manufactured by the RV company and those tend to be a fair amount of the warranty issues people run into.

As far as part of your question requesting comments on the Heartland brand...I have found the workmanship of our BH to be very good with only minor issues. I have owned a number of different RV's over the years by different manufacturers. They all have had things that I liked and disliked in their construction. If you look beyond the fact that you "get what you pay for" and more at how well the unit is constructed, I think Heartland is one of the better. JMHO.

Hope you have many enjoyable trips in your new unit.

Thanks for your input uncledon. We're looking forward to a lot of great times in it. We have been tent campers for decades. I stopped tent camping when we moved to bear country. I just couldn't get comfortable knowing the only thing between me and a bear was some canvas!! LOL

We've looked at campers for quite some time, read a lot about how different companies built their units and thought Heartland was pretty well built in our price range.
