Wife and our cat I don't corner nearly as fast with them in whatever vehicle I'm driving, interstate running I like to be with the traffic or a little faster thereby reducing my exposure to other drivers maneuvers. That's where I feel the safest after extensive consideration, cheers!

Yeah I like driving too. My 3500 Chevy is the very first automatic that I have ever owned. I'd like to brag about 35 years without a speeding ticket. I'd like to brag about 50 years driving without an insurance claim. I'd like to brag about never needing to do bodywork on a vehicle. But that is just me. A boring but safe driver.
I am not the slowest dog on the racetrack but there are many more much faster than me. Most of them seem to be driving luxury or high performance cars having little concern for the safety of other road users. But that is only my observation in well over 100,000 miles towing my 5er.

I've never towed a trailer do I can't comment on that hypothetical

My rig, including the car hauling trailer with the car strapped on, weighs 30,000. The stopping distance is much greater at 65 mph than just driving the towed, which weighs 2350 lbs. Boost the speed to 70, 75mph is no problem on flat interstate roads, it's the STOPPING distance that concerns me.

That is a lot of weight, my rig weighs 14,000 full of gas, water and waste tanks, brakes pretty well, needs a strong leg though!

In the RV on interstate highways I usually drive with the traffic, if its clear and good road conditions I may drive a little over the speed limit to drive with the traffic.
“Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”
― Jeremy Clarkson
so please don't be the rolling speed bump that suddenly makes traffic become stationary!

Please post where you want to show off while driving your RV so others can avoid where you are endangering others...

I enjoy driving my Chevy 3500 pulling a FW with total wt. 25k lbs, so why the rush to end the ride early. Two months ago, I had a front tire blow out and it still swerved into the left lane before I could get it under control and that was at 58 MPH. I would have rolled the rig if I was going any faster.

I only like driving because it beats walking.

I enjoy the drive, my family does not. As we are still working we try to make the most of our trips. We are taking a 2 1/2 week trip at the end of next month starting in Colorado going through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. I will push hard the first day to cover 700 miles doing 3 over the speed limit. Can't wait to get there and take our sweet time coming home.
That being said, what I truly love is towing our 40 foot 4th wheel over mountain passes with the hammer down and passing all the Ford's and Chevy's and then kicking the exhaust brake on and not touching my brakes on the downside.

Love our 40ft Newmar, Comfort Steer, Tag with V-Ride. I have to watch my speed. Can drive all day no shoulder soreness. My biggest concern is it drives so easy at any speed, I have to keep my foot out of the Cummins.

I enjoy driving my 31' class C on the freeway or on 4 lane expressway. But, narrow roads with overhanging tree's, backing into narrow campsites cause's all the enjoyment to disappear. problem is I was shopping for a 22' - 24' rig but drove out with a 31'

there's nothing about driving on the interstate at the same speed as the semi's that's "showing off",
now squealing tires in a decreasing radius downhill curve in an RV and keeping it between the lines would be showing off! :-)
