Anyone use "Jetter" hose & nozzle to clean black tank?

A while back I bought a Jetter hose and nozzle to clean my drain pipes at home using a pressure washer. It works great and I thought that it might be ideal to give a black tank a thorough "blasting", cleaning it far better than the normal built-in flusher nozzle can do. It would be a messy job since you would probably want to run the hose in through the discharge outlet, and all the "stuff" would be washing right out! I guess it could be run down the toilet and since the hose it flexible it could be pushed around inside the tank.

This is what I bought:

I use the black tank flusher thruout the year, and it keeps it clean. At the end of each season though, I do a flushout using a tool I built that is similar in concept to that.

Just bought some standard PVC pipe fittings, including a female hose thread adapter, and a cap. I drilled holes in the cap, both forward and backward and around the sides.....but primarily backward. I cut a piece of sewer extension, which allows me to enter the hose thru the top side and steer the hose right up the output into the tanks (I do both black and gray). Any drainage runs righ out thru the bottom of the cut extension into a regular sewer hose.

I built it primarily because I don't have a gray tank flush, but it works well on both. Use a thin pretty flexible hose to make it around the two 90 degree bends. Don't think you really need high pressure hose type of pressures. My pressure hoses are pretty stiff compared to this garden hose, so not sure it would make it around the bends.

Hadn't thought about it, but I bet that's what they use!

We use a similar product throughout the season, but I think the power was every few years would get out gunk that this can't get.

Yup! You're comparing maybe 45-80 PSI to about 2500 PSI from the average pressure washer! It would certainly clean those tank level sensors!
