App to save us gas money?

There are plenty of sites that offer driving directions. However, most of them are all about reaching a destination as fast as possible.
That's good for being on time, but not so good for your mileage. The upcoming eco: Speed app takes a different approach.
It gives you directions, but then allows you to select your desired energy savings. It then tells you how fast to drive on each portion of the trip. You can quickly find the best balance of speed and savings. While you're waiting for the app, try this online demo. Sign up to be notified when the app is available.

gas app

We use free Gas Buddy. Gives prices near you or you can put in a city. Works great!

The demo is suggesting savings of up to 30 percent. I don't know if anything is that good.

Android platform and all where free for me. Others say they are also on the Apple platform and free too but since I don't have any Apple products I cannot check for sure.

GasBuddy - lets me know the closest gas stations and latest updates to the prices
Love's - lets me know the closest Love's truck stops and gas/diesel prices
My DAT Trucker Services - Gives the locations of most truck stops and the fuel sold there and the services they offer, rest areas, walmarts
