OK thanks, i was trying to see if there was a standard so i could do my deck at a certain height to possibly accommodate future RV's. But with no standard ill just make it for my RV and leave it at that. Mine has three steps also but the bottom of the door is 33 inches from the ground.

Doors are different heights for sure but the bottom step distance from ground is going to be fairly consistent. I'd build the deck to fit an inch or two under the bottom step.

No it has to be 2 feet off the round and i dont want any steps going into the RV, so im probably going to make it where the deck boards will bring it about a half inch under the bottom door seal. That way it will give the wood enough room to expand if it needs to and also not be enough of a difference to cause anyone to trip on the doorway.

2ft off the ground still gives me 9" to play with so i figure with the rim joist a 2x8 on its side will still leave me with 1" and then the deck boards should come right to the bottom of the door give or take a half inch im thinking.
