Did you inhale the fume when you pressed your Dow portfolio?

Yo... Neck. You see that red and white triangle at the lower left of each post? They put it there for a reason.

True, but this thread is all about killing threads . So, I'm attempting to see if I am indeed a "Thread Killer" by trying various thread killing methods .

Ah, but they weren't trying the "flood" approach .

The flood approach? Getting out the drinks and popcorn. This should be a good show!

Basic approach to the flood approach is to flood a thread with semi pointless and rhetorical posts that really don't contribute anything to the topic. Also, another method is to ask inane questions in a constant stream till people start getting frustrated and the thread's followers start dropping off because they're tired of it (especially if a Mod isn't scrubbing a topic like they have OCD) or because someone finally flips out and starts calling the "flooder" names and other things and the thread gets locked.

Making one word posts is not in keeping with the Mission Statement of this forum!

The whole topic isn't in the spirit of the mission statement, especially since its in General Discussion vs Just Conversation which is a better fit for its completely non-rv related subject matter. Much like the walmart parking thread, this thread has gone entirely off topic to some pretty interesting extremes (Not that this one really had much of a topic to begin with).

So, since the topic was on "Are you a Thread Killer", I decided to join the fun and "attempt to kill a thread."

If you think flooding this thread with stuff that don't make sense will work, think again. The whole thread doesn't make sense and it won't die easily.

My goal was to see if I dumped enough random garbage into the thread in large enough quantities I'd be able to get people annoyed enough to stop following it, ergo, becoming a "Thread Killer."

The true, best way to be a thread killer is to wait way past anyone is following a topic, then add some random post to it.

They could be made to accept the most flagrant violations of reality, because they never fully grasped the enormity of what was demanded of them, and were not sufficiently interested in public events to notice what was happening
