Did you know that a lot of animals can jump higher than trees? This is due to the fact that trees can’t jump.

Hokey Pokey Dance Creator Dies unexpectedly

Larry LaPrise, the man credited with writing the Hokey Pokey, passed peacefully at the age of 93 on December 2 in Des Moines, Iowa. He originally created the dance for his daughter’s wedding, to get the attendees out of their seats and enjoy some movement. Sadly, his passing did not go without issue. During the viewing, his casket was overturned by accident and Mr. LaPrise fell to the floor. They put his left leg in, and that’s when the trouble began…

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

As I suspected, someone has been adding soil to my garden. The plot thickens.

Had an aha moment last night. Ate some butter (raisin) tarts. A food treat to raise to the pedestal beside bacon and chocolate chip cookies!

Love it when my food world expands.

People keep telling me to drink Less beer. I can’t find that brand anywhere.

is the neighborhood expert a relic?

I firmly believe that the neighborhood expert on any given craft is no longer relevant to the recent generation. The advice given, if it's even asked for, is often dismissed or double checked on-line.

The motorhead down the street, or the handyman that could fix most things, has been supplanted by the "University of YouTube" as the primary authority for information. Never mind the experience that's in one's neighborhood.

Unless you're savvy enough to video how you completed a task and post it to social media, your skills will go un-noticed as if they never happened.

Do you remember when:
Someone asked you for advice about a particular car brand?
Asked you how to repaint a deck chair?
Asked you how to true a bike rim?
Asked you what wood glue works best for outdoor creations?
The list goes on.

The world is changing (has changed?), I hope I can keep up.

A man is on his deathbed, and he smells chocolate chip cookies baking.
He thinks, "If I could have just one cookie, I could die a happy man." So, he gets out of bed, crawls down the hall, and with his last ounce of strength, reaches up to take a fresh cookie. But his wife smacks his hand with a spatula.

He says, "Why did you do that?"

"They're for the funeral."
